If you decide to starve for weight loss, you need to do everything right to protect yourself as much as possible during the loss of a few pounds.
It’s about wet starvation when a person refuses food but drinks enough water. Dry fasting, in which the intake of any liquid is prohibited, is fraught with serious health problems, and therefore, it is undesirable to do it at home. For safety reasons, do not delay wet fasting. Five to seven days for weight loss will be enough.
So, what can you expect after a seven-day wet fasting? If you do not join the exercise, the weight loss will average 6 kg.
What will happen with further starvation? If you do not begin sports (and during fasting, you rarely have the strength and desire to exercise in the gym), you will spend up to 2500 calories a day, which is an energy of decomposition of 350 g of fat.
Before you start wet fasting for weight loss, you need to prepare your body properly. Before you start to starve, you should stick to a juice diet and drink only freshly squeezed juices during which 3-5 days. At breakfast, it is preferable to drink fruit juices, and for lunch, snack and dinner – it is better to have vegetable ones.
In addition to juices, you can drink water, better distilled, since chlorinated or fluorinated one can prevent detoxification. Water purified by the reverse osmosis method is also good. Drink 4-12 glasses per day.
Do a daily walk in the fresh air for at least half an hour. When water starvation begins, rest as much as possible, if necessary – observe bed rest. In advance, take care that the stresses of the outside world do not bother you.
During starvation, the body begins to split stored reserves and own tissues, while the internal environment becomes acidic. The manifestations of acidosis (acidification) usually begin on the second day. In this case, there may appear weakness, nausea, and headache. As a rule, it’s enough to take a walk in the fresh air, take a shower, clean the bowels with an enema. All these unpleasant symptoms will go away. The intake medications from pharmacies, such as Meridia and analogs should be discussed with your doctor.
It is vital to know when to stop fasting. The critical period usually falls on the 5th-7th day. A person stops losing weight, general weakness grows, a severe headache, nausea, the sleep formula is broken, and malfunctions in the heart can occur. In such cases, you should immediately stop fasting and return to the juice diet (3-5 days). Over the next 10 days, you should supplement your diet with cooked vegetables. Then you can return to normal diet, except for all fatty, fried, and smoked food.
If you do not manage to finish what you have started for the first time, then you know that a seven-day hunger can be repeated after a series of diurnal fasting (once a week) for 1-2 months. The body will gradually adjust and, perhaps, it will be easier for you to transfer the seven-day detoxification once again.
Go out of starvation in the same way (3-5 days – juices, 10 days – juices + vegetables) is. Next, you should adhere to a healthy diet, which includes greens, vegetables, fruits, nuts, eggs, fish, and sour-milk products.
